Pete Buckenham

Pete OntheCorner is a DJ / Label Boss / Intrepid sound-explorer and music journalist. Starting OntheCorner records followed years of digging stores, investigating international scenes, DJing and writing about music. A passion for exploring music cultures led to Pete embarking on a year revelling in the contemporary music scene’s of African capitals travelling across the continent to hear new sounds from the street. His label and DJ sets journey with sounds from drinking spots, basements and stages from all corners. Modal jazz to disco-fied house to electronica from East Africa, the Andes, Poona or Peckham all sustain Pete’s hungry ears.
